Notions are the lifeblood of our existence. We are inundated with them from the time we are born. Our parents are the first to engage us with their notions as they want us to be better than they are. They try to give us the benefit of their life experience so that we don’t make the same mistakes they did. The trouble with that analogy is mistakes are also the lifeblood of our existence. The notion of perfectionism is the greater of them all as we spend our entire lifetime trying to attain it. Even though it doesn’t exist we still want it.
